Originally named Veloce Ltd. and founded by John Goodman and William Gue in 1905. In 1913 they began producing a 4-stroke machine called the “Velocette” and liked the name so much the company was renamed after it.

Velocette was renowned for high quality, hand built motorcycles that not only pioneered many engineering innovations but could also back up their production with racing silverware. This set them apart from other marques.

As well as being incredibly successful at the Isle of Man TT they were popular on the streets, quickly becoming the leader not only in many races but where it matters most, out on the open road.
