Disregarding the trend towards overly fussy, elaborate motorcycle design, the bikes of this era were stripped back and made as light as possible, tuning the performance of the engine as much as they could with the tools they had available to them to try to ‚"do the Ton!‚". This spawned a new generation of no-frills, stripped down bikes that were built purely for speed, cafe racers were born. Our gear takes a cue from this no-frills, well built, understatedly cool ethos of the time, and of course its UK origins.
